How to Hug a Cactus Goes to Slovenia!

Hey there, fellow book lovers! I've got some exciting news to share with you today. My picture book, "How to Hug a Cactus," is getting a new lease on life. That's right, it's being translated into Slovenian, and will soon be sold in Slovenia! I know what you're thinking: "Why would anyone want to hug a cactus?" Well, my dear friends, that's exactly what the book is all about!

For those of you who haven't read it yet (and shame on you if you haven't), "How to Hug a Cactus" is the tale of a young girl who learns the importance of persistence, resilience and a ‘never-give-up’ attitude. It's full of humour, silliness, and, of course, valuable life lessons. And now, thanks to the Slovenian translation, even more people will be able to enjoy it!

Now, I know what you're thinking. "But wait, isn't Slovenia known for its beautiful landscapes and stunning architecture? Why would they want to read about hugging a cactus?" Well, let me tell you: Slovenians are a diverse and eclectic group of people. They appreciate a good story, no matter how prickly the subject matter may be. Plus, who knows? Maybe they have some particularly huggable cacti over there.

All jokes aside, I am beyond thrilled that my books are finding new homes all over the world. It's amazing to think that something I created in my little corner of the world is now being enjoyed by people on the other side of the globe. And who knows? Maybe one day I'll even get to visit Slovenia and see my book on the shelves myself. In the meantime, I'll just keep hugging my own cacti and dreaming of the day when my books take over the world.

So, to all my Slovenian readers-to-be: hvala, and happy reading! And to everyone else: keep an eye out for those prickly moments, and remember to give them a big, warm hug. You never know what kind of joy they might bring.
